Shefali Ranthe is born in Bangladesh and adopted to Denmark as a child.
Colours are central to her work. She plays with strong colours and imaginary figures to express love, happiness and harmony. She always tells a story in each painting.
Earlier in her carrier she was inspired by African and Asian culture. This still thrives in her but is more visible in her earlier works.
Shefali is a graphical designer and have spent most of her career in advertisement agencies before she became a full time artist in 2007. She also holds a Bachelor Degree in Childcare from University of Aarhus, Denmark.
Her works have been represented on numerous exhibitions in Denmark and Dubai. She has also been represented by International Gallery Carré d'artistes in New York, Amsterdam and is currently exhibiting in Marseille, France.
