This painting “The Immortal love” is an outstanding work by artist Prashanta Nayak. His work is inspired by the everyday; observations of objects, events, and experiences. Figures dominate the whole thinking process in this paintings with different subjects, basically concerned with human figures, Mythology and religious stories. They are the intimacies and the complexities of life such as emotions, perceptions, ideas, intellect, human conditions and interrelationships. There is a high level of eroticism in his works, which conveys a pure feeling of love and longing. His work is full of illusion and tricks and succeeds in baffling the viewer and in creating an intimacy between the viewer and the painting.

Prashanta Nayak.Very talented young artist who has achieved gold medal award in 2002.He has participated in many group shows in India and U.S.His work is full of illusion and tricks and succeeds in baffling the viewer. He is a storyteller and succeeds in creating an intimacy between the viewer and the painting. There is a high level of eroticism in his works, which conveys a pure feeling of love and longing.Some of his works also portray mythology and religious stories. His ability to create a second and third dimension is a reflection of his painterly skills.

Bachelor Degree in Visual Arts (B.V.A.- Painting) from Government College of Arts & Craft under the university of Calcutta in 2003 with First Class.
