Aldrie Acosta has been painting for more than fifteen years. A self taught painter with absolute passion in colors. He constantly tests the limit of his skills by participating in numerous watercolor competitions in the Philippines and has garnered major awards in his credentials in different national and corporate competitions. His first series of paintings are basically hyper-realistic in approach and reflects his mastery of the subject. These pieces have been in major corporate establishments and avid collectors at home and neighboring countries as well. He used to work as an Art Director in the world of amusement parks and other entertainment facilities here in Dubai. This new experience broadened his perspective in the different media, approaches, textures and the limitless imaginations in 3D fantasy. Adding to these 9 years of experience is his cultural absorption of the Arab Region, his fascination to the old traditional Arabic architecture ventured his artistic style towards impressionism which focuses on tonal values and the drama it brings to the viewers. But this experience does not limit him to experiment and exploit the possibilities in the world of art. His current job as a designer is very rewarding but his passion for colors brings him back to his easel and brushes every time he is home and expresses himself in complete freedom. He is now currently based on Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
