Sekhar Roy is a self-taught artist.Bold, vivid strokes and bright colours are the trademarks of Sekhar Roy's works. Best know for his figurative artworks, Sekhar Roy has over the years developed an unique style of his own. His paintings have a strong shading with clear differentiation between light and shade. Confident,etched outlines and sure poses give his expressive figures a grounded beauty, standing out from a softer, fading background. Sekhar Roy has had innumerable one man shows and exhibitions in India and abroad.
