This artwork represents the Arabic culture and rich heritage

This artwork “Couple with camel” is an outstanding work by artist Eleni Koritou. The artist had a powerful passion and desire to draw and to paint. This painting signifies the Arabic culture where women are wearing Abaya as their dress and Niqab or hijab are used to cover their face. Men are wearing Kandura as premium arab outfit.  The Arab countries are historically known for its attachment to camels which are of social and economic value.

By using, adapting, and merging a variety of styles the artist paints portraits that stare out at you with questioning eyes. The perspectives are painted uncoordinated which gives the work an intense atmosphere. The artist mixes together bright colors to create a childish image. Each image draws the viewer in and demands a second look.
