Radhika by Sukanta Das
This artwork illustrates a surreal and dream-like quality
This painting “Radhika” is an outstanding work by artist Sukanta Das. Sukanta draws with mixed media on canvas and is fluent in translating emotions on the canvas. This piece has a surreal quality about them, possibly due to the palette he employs. The acrylics on canvas are moments captured in time, and have a photo-realist quality. Das often places these women in idyllic garden settings giving his work the surreal and dream-like quality. Notice their clothes and the art on them. Inspired by Mughal miniature, Sukanta draws an interesting portrait as if to relate the figure to a distant past or a story.

Rare beauty
This artwork portray the relationship between man and woman in a metaphysical manner
This painting “Rare Beauty” is an outstanding work by artist Paresh Mridha. He has kept himself engrossed in the nostalgic touches and depicted the relationship between man and woman with a hemispheric outlook. The expression of the figure mainly the faces is that of purity and reality. He can confidently capture forms in his own distinctive manner enlivened by an innate feeling of peace with the world and the joy that comes out of such feeling. It is the joy which is variously reflected in the soft and suggestive use of colors of the rich ornamentation of lines. Decoration is certainly an important trait of Paresh work, but so are the dynamism of the lines and the liveliness of the colors which often combine to provide the viewer a rare aesthetic experience.
