This artwork shows creative visual symbol as reference of our times

This artwork “Kinnaris” is an outstanding work by eminent Indian artist Gogi Saroj Pal. She is comfortable working with such diverse mediums as installation, painting, sculpture, ceramics and weaving. This painting has a woman subject and have fantastical element that still comments on the female condition. Gogi’s paintings are a mirror held up to society, showing the disparity in relationships between the sexes and are designed to exhibit the vicissitudes of a woman’s life. The artist would like to leave behind creative visual symbols, in icons, as references of our times, to bridge the gaps in continuity of our cultural identity, for use in the concerns & epics of our times.
