Couple
This artwork symbolizes happy marriage of tradition and modernity
This artwork “Couple” is an outstanding work by artist Chikmath F.V. He paints in his own unique style to create imaginary world almost childlike and naive. However, buried deep beneath the surface is the true meaning. Beautiful and interesting things around the artist capture his imagination both visually and emotionally. Every image, every shape and every form talks to him on some level.
This painting is made with various compositions, vibrant colors and lines with the backdrop of the artist robust understanding of Indian history and tradition. He also made use of many modern themes, which could be explained as a happy marriage of tradition and modernity. A prominence on lines and also a total control on lines is a hallmark of his works.

Couple
This artwork contain a female and a male form taking shape from the surrounding elemental abstraction.
This painting “Couple” is an outstanding work by artist Sachin Jaltare. His mixed media works explore the tango of form and formlessness, energy and desire, and the mortal and divine. This painting combines figurative and abstract elements fluidly to weave an engrossing narrative that is both authentically Indian and contemporary. Fragments and silhouettes of hauntingly beautiful men and women, representing Shiva and Parvati, are portrayed locked in a sensuous duet of lowered lids, trailing fingers and passionate half-embraces. The sylph-like women and the medieval knight-like men with blazing red tikkas on their foreheads are pictured against moody, nocturnal land- scapes in charcoal, grey, black, scarlet and blue. The expressionist, acrylic canvasses are further flecked with esoteric symbols drawn from the natural world and Hindu mythology.

This painting “Couple” is an outstanding work by artist Subrata Das. His artworks are imbued with color, mysticism and romance. The acrylics on canvas and mixed media works, feature a cast of ethereal mythological beings from the Hindu epics with long limbs, cascading hair and a flame orange mist of vermilion dotting their foreheads. The painting is dotted with blue lotuses, doves, peacocks, birds and the omnipresent flute. The ethnic subjects and themes are rendered with modern aesthetics, and tradition mixes freely with contemporary techniques in Das’s work.
