Red Village
This artwork depicts villages reminiscent beauty and aesthetics of the rural scene
This painting “Red Village” is an outstanding work by artist Nagesh Ghodke. He is popular for his villagescapes and finds his muse in ever changing nature. The geographical and cultural upbringing has largely inspired his work. This work bring to light the destruction of nature and the resulting plight of villagers. The prominently used medium is acrylic, the color palette consists of greens, blues and reds, each setting a mood in his paintings. The village houses are uniform in color and architecture and are carefully yet haphazardly stacked. The proximity of the houses symbolize the close-knit village communities.
