Dinesh Kumar’s use of brilliant colours to depict his subjects which include renderings of The Buddha in many different styles and women in dream-like poses, give his paintings a surreal dimension, and the vivid reds, blues, and yellows are unusual in their purity and strength of colour. He uses these same vivid hues to paint abstract canvases, and these abstractions are interspersed with geometric forms, notably triangles. He has received various awards at State and All- India levels, and his works can be found in many collections in India and abroad.
