Wilfredo Alicdan (born February 22, 1965 in Dasmariñas, Cavite) is a Filipino figurative artist. His works are distinguished by their quaint and geometric folk representations, populated by rounded stylized figures usually engaged in traditional and rural activities. Alicdan's canvases display a sense of harmony between contrasting formal elements while his utilization of solid colors and flat backgrounds reinforces the two-dimensionality of his paintings, his use of subtle modeling imbues his figures with rounded, human plasticity. Willy is a founding member of the Anting-Anting Group of Artists. He helps and supports UNICEF by lending his works to be reproduced as a Unicef Cards for the benefit of all the children of the world.
