This abstract painting is an outstanding work by artist Nupur Kundu. The artist endeavor to embody in her work the ineffable in colors. The colors are given freedom to flow, move, and dialogue with each other, share inaudibly and even invisibly the mystery of their being. They carry no thematic burden nor are pushed into the straight – jacket of meanings. They are themselves – in purity, in intense and furious purity. They are a narrative into themselves primarily – ‘Colourscapes’. My work has always been non-representational. The colors in her canvas engage in furious dance, dancing from once color to another. It is a pure dance creating significant patterns of movement and rhythm covering space without overshadowing it.

This painting “Color City Reflection” is an outstanding work by artist Suresh Gulage. Suresh seeks to build an identity for himself through painting architectural landscapes and buildings. The light illuminates different parts of the buildings in different ways- the window, door, motifs on the wall – they all give out a different feel in the same light. Besides, the same building looks different at various times of the day. The artist love to capture this sight through brushwork and hues and highlight its beauty by recreating these marvels using vibrant color palette and technique that oscillates between being in-the-face to subtle and suggestive both instances replete with the exquisiteness to portray the beauty of these structures.
