Surendra Pal Singh Bhogal
Surendra Pal Singh Bhogal, born in 1949, is a self –taught artist, who has worked for over 20 years as an illustrator for The Sahitya Akademi, The Childrens Book Trust, and other reputed publishers.
Everyday scenes are portrayed with stylized figures of men & women often with birds adding a dimension to the canvas, and defining his inspiration from nature. The human element in various situations has always been an important part of his work, and his work is a blend of the modern and the traditional life of India. Surendra Bhogal’s canvases are recognized for their interesting mix of colours, and his palette of colours is subdued yet vibrant and expressive.
His oils on canvas are seen in many group shows all over India.

Unlike those of some deities, representations of Ganesha show wide variations and distinct patterns changing over time. He may be portrayed standing, dancing, heroically taking action against demons, playing with his family as a boy, or sitting down on an elevated seat, or engaging in a range of contemporary situations. Surendra canvas are recognized for their interesting mix of colors, and his palette of colors is subdued yet vibrant and expressive. The bold and vivid use of colors defines his appreciation for impressionistic style.
