Akbar Hafeez, began painting a decade or so ago to express his emotions and sensitivities. He chose the stark emptiness of the canvas to be the recipient of his expressions. He is absolutely self-taught and is able to express himself passionately and vividly without being hindered by any formal training. According to Akbar, he paints whatever pleases him and relaxes his soul. The artist is an interior and furniture designer, making him multi faceted, which is also reflected in his work. Akbar’s work has been exhibited successfully in Karachi, Lahore Islamabad as well as in USA.
His works have reached all over the world and collections has been acquired by some great collectors.
